With Thanksgiving coming up, I just wanted to take some time and reflect on this year and what I’m grateful for in life. We all need to appreciate these times with our loved ones.
This year has been a rollercoaster. Right after the Super Bowl, we welcomed our son Rayden into this world. Having a child just changes your perspectives on everything. I’d like to think I’ve come into myself as a father. Football has always been a part of my life, but it’s an extraordinary thing to be father. It is more important than anything. I’m so thankful for him, Ashley, and my family who make everyday so special.
I wouldn’t be where I am today without you loyal 12s, this has been a rocky season but you have stayed by our side. I’m thankful for the learning process and the obstacles we have faced because they have only made us stronger as players and people.
This is the time of year to cherish with family and I definitely am doing that. Family and health are our greatest gifts and I’m always grateful I can wake up everyday and play a sport I love because I know it won’t last forever. I’m going to go out there and finish the season strong. I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving and happy holiday season with your loved ones.
