What a time! 2015 has been an amazing year for many reasons. As a football team, we started the year off right with another trip to the Super Bowl. Tough one to lose, but proud of the resilience this team displayed being able to reach back to back Super Bowls. Off the field, God blessed my family with the greatest gift of all, a child. All year I watched my son grow, and being a father has really changed my perspective on things. Now, we get to add another little one to our family and I couldn’t be happier for what’s in store. During the off-season, I proposed to my now fiancée and I feel like the luckiest guy in the world to get to spend the rest of my life with such an amazing woman.
We didn’t start this season off as we had planned, but we’ve turned things up lately and we’re excited about what we can achieve this post season. Being able to turn things around shows how well this team can overcome adversity. This season has really taught us how to come together as a team and fight. We had a lot of injuries with guys and we had to pull through and fight for them. We’re ready to continue to battle in the playoffs and we have a chance at another Super Bowl.
It has been great to continue to help kids and communities in need. It was an honor to be nominated for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award. I want to continue to use my platform to help kids achieve their goals and be successful in life, and I couldn’t do it without the support of all you 12s.
I hope you all had a great year and continue to build success throughout 2016.
