Felt Like Old Times
It felt great to be able to play another playoff game at CLink and to get another home playoff win in front of all the 12s. So much about the game felt so familiar as in years past. The offense controlled much of the game with the running game and capitalized on big plays with the play action pass. The defensive line got pressure all game long and we were able to keep the Lions out of the end zone all night long.
Quite a few of our guys deserve a lot of credit for making a win happen tonight. Doug Baldwin played an excellent game. He makes all of the tough catches and is one of the best route runners in the game today.
Thomas Rawls also deserves credit for how he played tonight. We were able to control the tempo of this whole game because we kept hammering the ball in the run game.
Bobby Wagner played lights out all night long. Much of what he did against Detroit helped the rest of the country see why he is clearly a Defensive Player of The Year candidate.
Hopefully, we can continue playing well in the playoff as we have in years past. On to Atlanta to take on a really good Atlanta Falcons team.
