Proving Who We Are

I’m proud of how our defense fought all day long against the Rams. Their offense did a good job of throwing us off with some new wrinkles and looks that we haven’t seen before. Jared Goff did a good job of trying to avoid critical mistakes and taking what we gave him. He was under pressure all day and showed good scrambling ability to keep plays alive. You have to tip your hat to the Rams for what they did on the field.

Our defense showed some good stuff against LA. Sheldon gave us some big plays when he was on the field. Our line was fighting hard all game and kept a fierce pass rush going every time they dropped back to pass. We had some great coverage on the back end with Earl making an unbelievable play to get that pick. Earl is a heck of a player and I am glad he’s on our team.

It has been a while since we have forced five turnovers in a game but that’s what Seahawk football is all about. We always try to find ways to put our playmakers in positions to change the course of a game. The Rams game proved that we have playmakers all over the field from Earl to Mike to Frank. We played sound and disciplined football and that showed Sunday.

People have been looking forward to writing us off since the start of the season, but I think our demise has been greatly overstated. We are just going to continue to play our game and be aggressive. We will continue to be diligent so that we can show everyone who we really are.
