Richard Sherman has Surgery
Richard Sherman underwent surgery Wednesday to repair a ruptured Achilles that
ended his season.
Dr. Bob Anderson, a renowned foot and ankle specialist, in Green Bay, performed
Sherman’s surgery, according to ESPN’s Josina Anderson.
Sherman suffered the Achilles injury during last Thursday’s win over the Arizona
Cardinals. Sherman popped the Achilles in the third quarter, several weeks after the
initial injury to his Achilles. He said the tendon had been nagging him since Seattle’s
game against the Los Angeles Rams on Oct. 8.
The Seahawks will take the field next against the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night,
and they will do so without its All-Pro cornerback for the first time since Sherman
entered the league in 2011.
Sherman ended the season with two interceptions and 31 tackles.
