On Tuesday, the NFL announced that Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman would make the Pro Bowl team for the fourth time in his career.
This season, Sherman has continued to keep quarterbacks from throwing his way, and making them pay when they do make the mistake of doing so. Sherman has four interceptions and 11 passes defended on the season. Sherman has also seen a spike in shadowing opposing No. 1 receivers for long stretches of games
Sherman hasn’t missed a single game in his NFL career, and has intercepted 30 passes in his six years as an NFL cornerback.
Three of Sherman’s Seahawks teammates will join him in the Pro Bowl in Orlando on Jan. 29, including defensive ends Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett, and linebacker Bobby Wagner. This is Avril’s first Pro Bowl selection, Bennett’s second and Wagner’s third.
